Originally from the PNW, she attended the University of Oregon and focused her studies on copywriting at the School of Journalism and Communications. It was within the SOJC she found her love of collaboration and natural ability to bring creative projects to life.
Now almost ten years and one move to NYC later, Thomas has established herself as a creative producer with several music videos and shorts under her belt. Notably, she has focused her efforts on supporting independent projects that seek to challenge conventional storytelling methods and the “by any means necessary” mentality.
Thomas also has a deep knowledge and understanding of audiences, as a result of her many years working as a social and digital strategist. Through her work for companies like A24, Field of Vision, CNN, Facebook and Samsung Mobile, Thomas has developed an audience-first approach that has served her well in her marketing career and early stage film development alike. Recently, she covered this topic as a panelist at International Film Festival Rotterdam (2019) & Curaçao IFFR (2019).
Thomas is a Sundance Producers Intensive fellow for 2021 and currently packaging a Gotham-supported feature with longtime collaborator Chris Osborn.
